The Department of World Languages and Literatures offers a program of graduate study leading to the degree of Master of Arts in World Languages and Literatures, with specializations in French and Spanish.

Earn your master’s degree in a flexible, low-residency format. The graduate program in French is well suited to professionals who are already working as K-12 educators or in other full-time positions and who want to upskill or reskill for career advancement.

Spanish specialization

The mission of the graduate program is to educate students in Hispanic languages, literatures and cultures at the highest possible level, as well as to provide students with both a broad knowledge base from which to pursue specialized studies and a depth of experience in scholarship and pedagogy that will advance their future research and professional activities.
