Currently recruiting students to work on a variety of topics, including questions related to:

  • From when and where do plants take up water
  • How ecosystem disturbances versus physiological stressors interact with water and carbon balances
  • How changes in forest density affect the energy budgets and the partitioning between the relative roles of evaporation versus plant transpiration.
  • How do snowmelt and rainfall differently travel through ecosystems, hillslopes, and catchments
