Ph.D. candidate Travis Numan spoke about climate change from an Indigenous perspective at a conference in Chicago

Researcher and environmental engineering Ph.D. candidate Travis Numan from an Indigenous perspective, including Indigenous burning practices, at the Water Environment Federation’s Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC), Oct. 2-4 in Chicago. Numan, a member of the Paiute and Shoshone nations and associated with the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony and the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, also participated in a panel discussion, “Exploring Indigenous Environmental Wisdom,” at WEFTEC.
