University Museum District

The University museum district boasts 12 diverse museums, galleries and attractions dedicated to furthering the cultural education of Northern ÁùºÏ±¦µä.

From flora and fauna, to gears and paint, to bones and meteorites, we have something of historical interest for anyone.

A priceless silver collection, a meteorite from outer space, a collection of insects, animals and plants from around the Great Basin and the world, medical artifacts and extensive art exhibitions greet families and visitors to the dozen venues featured in and around the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno campus.

A free, self-guided tour can begin at any of the attractions during opening hours. Please review individual museum pages for hours of operation.

This event invites visitors to walk the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno’s National Historic District and tour 12 museums on and around the campus. Each museum will feature a different hands-on activity or giveaway. This event is ideal for families and anybody who is interested in art, history, earth science, life science and even outer space.
