Dr. Hadj-Nacer joined the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno in 2013 as a post-doctoral research associate. He was then promoted to research scientist in 2014. Dr. Hadj-Nacer's research is focused on heat transfer during vacuum and forced helium dehydration drying processes applied to used nuclear fuel packages. He is also developing single and two-phase cooling systems for renewable energy and space applications.
Dr. Hadj-Nacer received a Ph.D. from Aix-Marseille University, France. His research included gas-surface interaction in micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) and the measurement of the mass flow rate through micro-tubes of different cross-section shape and materials. He also developed analytical and numerical approaches to calculate the mass flow rate in the slip, transitional, and free molecular flow regimes. Prior, he obtained his M.S from Aix-Marseille University in 2009 and B.S from Polytechnic School of Algeria in 2008.
