Summary

I completed my undergraduate studies in mathematics at Valencia Community College and the University of Central Florida, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in mathematics. I did my Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins with Jack Morava, focusing on algebraic topology and category theory. I then had a three-year postdoctoral position at the University of Washington where I worked with James Zhang followed by a one year postdoctoral position at Georgia Tech before coming to the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno.

Research interests

My research is focused on topics in category theory, homotopy theory and algebraic topology. I am especially interested in: higher category theory; operads; chromatic homotopy theory; K-theory; the "field with one element"; cobordism theories; derived noncommutative algebra.
