Summary
Sequoyah Pollard (she/her) serves as the Indigenous Relations Coordinator in the Office of Indigenous Relations. An enrolled member of the Aquinnah Wampanoag Nation, Sequoyah is committed to serving Native communities. She has a passion for sustainability, stewardship, and traditional ecological knowledge.
Sequoyah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with minors in Native American and Indigenous Studies and Music from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Before her current role, Sequoyah was a Department Manager at Santa Clara University where she supported the development of an Indigenous Employee Resource group. She has also worked as a conservation specialist, music instructor, and recruiting coordinator.
Outside of her professional experience, Sequoyah spent 5 years as a marching member of the Santa Clara Vanguard Organization, based in Santa Clara, CA. She also enjoys skiing, hiking with her dog, exploring the Great Basin, and teaching marching band.
